Mojkovac is located in the valley of the river Tara at the foot of the mountains Bjelasica and Sinjavina, and belongs to the Hills of the northeastern part of Montenegro between the national parks Biogradska gora and Durmitor. It covers an area of 367 km2 with about 11,000 inhabitants.
