There are three generations living in the Aprcović family, the host Saša with his wife and their three small children, as well as with his father. They had started their life together in the town, and then they decided to move to the village and they found their peace and made plans for the future in the countryside. Now, they have tied their lives to the village, and to breeding cattle, so their main activity is husbandry.
Aprcović household is engaged in cattle breeding. They have cows, whose milk is used to prepare various dairy products. Full-fat cheese is mostly made and sold. The large pastures around the house are suitable for grazing, and in addition to cows, they also have their own chickens. They grow vegetables on the farm, too and it’s only used by the family. In addition to the garden, they also have their own orchard, which is in the process of obtaining a certificate for organic products, and the fruit in the process are: plum, pear, apple, blackberry, currant, chokeberry. They prepare their special drink from the fruit of wild apple, called vodnjika. The diligent housewife prepares various homemade jams and juices, while the host produces brandy from the remaining fruits.
Village Osojni Orah is located near the Piva Nature Park. There are many marked hiking and walking trails in the nature park, of which the closest to the household trail is the one climbing to the Stabanska lake. The beginning of the trail is 7-8 km away from the household. The trail leading to the Mount Volujak is also near the Aprcović household.
About 10 kilometers from the household is the shore of Piva Lake, as well as Plužine.
Piva Monastery is about 15 kilometers away from the household, a monastery that had to be moved to a new location due to the construction of a dam and the sinking of the part of the canyon where it was primarily situated.
An easy walk of 2 km from the household takes you to a village spring.
