Kušljević family has several members and each of them is able-bodied and engaged in household works, the ones he/she is skilled in and that can bestow the reputation and success of the household. There are three generations living in the family – grandparents, then Duško and Milojka (household owners) and their children: Dušica and Danilo (university students) and Djordje (high school student).
Producing and processing milk is the main activity in the Kušljević household. Dairy products they make are: Pljevlja cheese, clotted cream, low-fat cheese, peppers in cheese, peppers in sour cream, milk and whey. Besides dairy products, Kušljević family produces fruit and vegetables, fresh and in the form of salads, winter stores, treats, juices, preserve and jams. And, let’s not forget the production of veal, pork and chicken meat. All these things can be tasted in their household, made in traditional way.
Kušljević household is situated on a plateau, at the altitude of 1,080 m, overlooking the peaks of the mountains Čemerna and Kovača on the north and east side, then the south is reserved for Lisac and finally, we have Ljubišnja, the beauty of them all, on the west side. The countryside surrounding Ladjana is brimming with plant and animal species. The relief is versatile and interesting in structure. The river Voloder runs along the edge of the eastern side of the village and then it suddenly disappears within an inch of the village. When attractive locations are in question, two caves should be mentioned, one of them is the place where drinking water spring emerges, people from the village used to take water for the household from this spring. Some 10 km away, Municipium S, Roman archeological site, is located as a museum where exhibits found here are kept.
