Feratović family lives in the village called Budovice, in Plav municipality. The family of ŠefkijaFeratović is made of 11 members. Šefkija and his wife Selvija have three sons. The oldest one lives in Norway with his family and the younger two have stayed in Plav, they work with their parents and they manage the farm.
Feratović family is mainly into fruit growing. There are 40 apple sorts growing on their farm, more than 15 sorts of pears, and some 20 trees of older, indigenous sorts of apples and pears. We have also got a large number of berry fruit, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, chokeberry, and so on.
We have built three log cabins on the farm, each of them equipped with bathrooms and balconies offering a stunning view to Plav Lake. There’s also a large wooden garden cabin, shadirvan, where you can taste our products, such as juices, jams, preserves…
Feratović family household is situated at the very border of the National Park Prokletije, and it’s only 7.5 kilometers away from the town center. Some 500 or 600 meters away from the household, you’ll come upon a trail called Peaks of Balkans, a mountain trail 192 km long, passing through three countries, Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo (8 to 10 days is needed to go through this trail), and a hiking trail that leads to the Memina Mountain.
Also, when visiting the town, visitors can go to the Redžepagića Tower, Plav Lake and so on. For visitors who are into religious tourism, Plav can offer many interesting destinations, such as: The Monastery of Holy Trinity in Brezovica, which is one of the oldest objects in Montenegro, then the Old Mosque in Plav, Sultania Mosque, and others.
There are fly fishing zones and the lake available for fishing fans, then some recreational boat rides across the lake, and so on.
